I working on rebuilding a ruckstell. It was in fairly good shape only need a new P141 and a new set of spider gears. My question is about the bearing. My bearing is in good shape but the numbers on it match nothing I have seen in any threads and it has markings for thrust on the inner collar not the outer collar. It was pressed onto P139 with the markings to the collar. Is this a good usable bearing? From what I have read in the ruckstell rebuild manual it looks like it was installed correctly.

Re: Ruckstell bearing
It is a thrust bearing, which has to be mounted correct way around. If it fits, all is good. The problems come when a much cheaper bearing of the same dimensions is used, and that bearing is not a thrust bearing.

Re: Ruckstell bearing
212 is a correct old number. what would have been used day 1. The current number system is 7212 plus some letters to denote ball retainer +++. Both side thrust bearings. NEVER use a 6212 or a 5212. Same dimensions, but no side thrust.

If it doesn't make any noise, use it.
