Upholstery Piece on Quarter Window Moldings

Post by pron022020 » Thu Mar 31, 2022 7:00 am

Does anybody know where I can get the pieces of steel that get wrapped with upholstery and then popped into place on the quarter window moldings for my 27 Coupe? My originals are long gone.

Tyler: If someone here doesn't offer a simple solution or offer to supply the part, PM me and I'll try to assist. On My '26 coupe I had one original and had to make one from sheet steel. I'll gladly dig it out, take photos and trace a pattern and post it to you if you need to make them. jab35(at)cornell.edu

When you buy an upholstery kit from Classtique, he can provide a fabric covered piece of cardboard (or similar material) as a replacement for the steel piece. I don't know if you can order just that piece.

In my Classitique kit I only got the material to cover the steel with, no cardboard pieces for that.

Classitique only provides the non-metal pieces when you tell them you don't have the metal pieces.
