26 Fordor cowl vent

Post by EricMac » Sat Dec 17, 2022 11:33 pm

I am looking for the cowl vent that would open the vent door on a '26-7 Fordor. Here is the only photo I have of what I am after. To be 100% truthful, I'm not certain what I need. Does it interchange with the same mechanism as would be on 24-25 closed cars like Fordors, Coupes and Tudors? Or...is it a 26-7 Fordor only part? If you have one to sell I'm interested.

My body parts book lists "54425X as Cover (cowl ventilator) assy. 1926" and 17048X Cover (ventilator) assy. 1924-25" so I would say they aren't the same.
Maybe this eBay ad will help: (26-27)

Mine does not look like the one pictured, it is 23-5 style.

These aren't the best but of the '24-'25 style.

The referenced door and parts labeled 26/27 Foredor look like my Canadian 26 Foredor, including the curvature of the top as apposed to the referenced 23-25 lid that looks more flat.
