Ball hitch on the '24

Post by DanTreace » Sun Jan 06, 2019 12:49 pm

Found an already modified '26-'27 touring goose neck tire carrier at swap meet.

Welded on receiver type hitch to the goose neck, and had the proper length to extend past the tire carrier and tire too!
All I had to find was a small size receiver bar, and a tiny hitch ball. The receiver bar needed has to be a dropped style, otherwise the trailer will ride too high if the ball is inline with the rear axle!

Now....to find a trailer, or maybe just hook up the garden tractor dump trailer :)

And, ball hitch was used back in the Model T days too, its authenic.....see this adv.
