If the light isn't N.O.S., then it is nicely restored, The license plate bracket, tail light stand, and switch are correct, however with the tail light stand and switch being reproduced, it would be hard to say if they are originals or reproductions. The license plate bracket is not being reproduced at this time, to my knowledge, and the closest reproduction part to the Model T license bracket is one for a Model A Drum tail light, but they have DUOLIGHT stamped on them and still require some modification to fit the Ford or Dodge Brothers stop light made by the C.M. Hall Co. for those manufacturers. Stutz, also used a similar light, but the red glass has STUTZ molded into the glass in large block letters. Regardless of whether N.O.S. original parts or some reproduction mixed in, the fact that the light is a Dodge Brothers light, significantly reduces the value as opposed to having the correct Ford script light. Someone in another post mentioned a N.O.S. Ford light, brackets and switch for sale on EBAY. It is listed for roughly a thousand dollars more than this one, but a person would have to have more dollars than sense to pay $1500.00, even if it includes the original box.

Terry, thank you for all that detailed information. The light and switch were wired together with a tag. I was going by what was written on the tag "1926-1927 model T accessory taillight" Thanks again, Walt

I've thought that with some very careful welding someone could convert one of the DB Type-B lights to a passable Ford version using the stamped script from a Model A horn cover like this:

or find a nice "Ford" marked can and sell the DB marked one.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Shannon, I personally haven't done a clone stop light, but many others have, as mentioned here on the Forum. I do have a Ford script "can" or housing that has rust out on the bottom side where the clear license plate light is located and sometime when I get around to it, I plan to try to "clone" one of my Dodge DB Type 2 lights. Cloning can be done in two different ways, but the embossed DB Type 2 logo must be hammered down flat, first.Shannon_in_Texas wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 2:55 pmI've thought that with some very careful welding someone could convert one of the DB Type-B lights to a passable Ford version using the stamped script from a Model A horn cover like this:
