Friday’s Jelf update

Post by George N Lake Ozark » Fri Sep 22, 2023 9:06 pm

🛞🛞🛞🛞 Tikkita-tikkita-tikkita-POW!! 🛞🛞🛞🛞
Steve Jelf's tooling along nicely with very few backfires! Talked with him for 10 minutes or so just now. He was very talkative. AND he ate all of his breakfast and lunch today - by oral! This is great news! Funnily, he's worried about the calorie intake numbers. That's our Steve all right.
He has a small favour to ask of you. He'd love you to leave some photos of this past OCF, if you would, in the comments or a new post on this page. Then the nurse can bring him a tablet or laptop so he can view them. He said that would be a nice project for him tomorrow.
He had two volunteer firefighter friends from the club visit him today. Named them both, too. He also has a message for everyone: "KEEP 'EM FLYIN'!" :D

:D Steve is like the old Timex watch commercial. "Takes a licking but keeps on ticking" A inspiration to us all.

Wanting to see pictures of the Old Car Festival that he was on his way to when the collision occurred is a very good sign! It shows that his positive attitude is intact.
Thank you Steve J!

I'm really glad he's on the mend. Don't be discouraged if once in a while he has a not-so-great day. His body took a hell of a beating, and it will take time for it to totally heal.

I don't have photos of the OCF on my computer, and due to a recent "automatic update" that I did not request I am currently having trouble downloading photos from anywhere.
However, for whatever it is worth? For a maybe a bit more complete picture of this year's OCF, The AACA's members report on their forum had 90 replies, with most showing several photos.

I may be having trouble handling photos right now, but I can post a link to their forum!

Looks like a lot of wonderful early automobiles! Several of them owned by people that frequent this forum.
