WTB Iron water pump

Post by Bryce S. » Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:17 pm

I am wanting to do away with the aluminum water pump on my T due to it constantly reacting with the iron block and causing that fun chemical reaction that ruins everything. Are there any good iron ones out there that would be a good replacement that one would consider selling me? And yes..... I know everyone thinks I should do it the way Henry intended. I would still like water pump.

Thanks,
Bryce

Hi Bryce,
I understand the aluminum issue well, just worked on a friends touring ( he had to have the radiator cleaned out for that reason) I just went
through a drawer of water pumps to make a list of parts I will need to rebuild them. I replace the shafts with 304 SS & re-bush & replace the
packing with new. I have several styles if you have a preference? I'm leaving for the Texas T Party Tour in the morning and will be gone for a
while ( it's along drive ) If you get a chance give me a call six 0 two-7 six 9-0 two five 7

I have couple of different water pumps. Both spin

One has a broken mount casting - I have the piece - it could be brazed.

I live in Michigan.
