GOLDEN GATE MODEL T TOUR
June 3rd - 6th, 2019, Mon-Thu ...plus Thu-Sun Alexander Valley Extension

Home Base: Mill Valley Travelodge

$90.00, incl. continental breakfast, internal covered parking for Model Ts, and adjacent free parking for their trucks and trailers. You must reserve your room directly with the motel. 11 rooms being held under the name; “Steven Chase”

The Tour;
Cost: $90/night motel, + $25 per person tour fee ...not including meals.

Monday ‘afternoon’, June 3rd; Half Day, Marin Headlands, -- 20 Mi --
Indian Palace Buffet Lunch at noon, next to hotel. Then tour the vast Golden Gate National Recreation Area (Marin Headlands) with historic military batteries in and around Fort Cronkhite, scenic overlooks across the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Prison, and the San Francisco skyline. Cocktail with Ts in motel parking lot, then dinner at Marin Brewing Company, Larkspur Landing.

Tuesday, June 4th; Muir Woods & Marin Coast, -- 60 Mi --
Tour through Mill Valley up to Muir Woods National Monument. After a walk-about admidst the towering redwoods, we will tour down to Bolinas and Stinson Beach via the Panoramic Highway. Join in for Lee Chase’s Historic 90th Birthday Picnic Lunch (MTFCA member #29). Return to our hotel southbound over the scenic Shoreline Highway. Happy hour at Sailors Baja Restaurant and Bar nearby.

Wednesday, June 5th; San Francisco’s National Historic Parks, - 40 Mi -
Tour Sausalito’s charming house boats, the Golden Gate Bridge, and San Francisco’s Presidio Army Base. Then, VIP parking amidst the Tall Ships at Maritime National Historic Park. Lunch two blocks away at Fisherman’s Wharf. Return to motel past the Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, Fort Mason, San Francisco's Marina Green, and Chrissy Field (WW1 Army Airfield). Our route today strategically avoids city traffic and hilly terrain. Dinner nearby our motel at Bar Bocce right on the San Francisco Bay. Take shoes off and wade in, and/or challenge those HCCA members to a friendly game of Bocce Ball.

Thursday, June 6th; West Marin County -- 60 Miles --
Tour Marin’s shady and twisty lanes through Larkspur, Kentfield, Ross, San Anselmo, and the hippie town of Fairfax, then up through MT Tamalpias State Park, along Alpine Lake, and on north via Pacific Coast Highway to the remote town of Point Reyes Station, oyster filled Tomales Bay, and the golden hills of the west Marin countryside to our Final Banquet Lunch at Larry Smith’s favorite haunt in the middle of nowhere, Nicasio Ranch.

*** Weekend Optional Touring Extension *** Three additional nights in and around Alexander Valley's wine country, immediately following this Tour. 5 rooms reserved, L&M Motel, Healdsburg, $145/n.
