Front License Bracket

Post by Original Smith » Fri Dec 01, 2023 11:33 am

Wanted to buy an accessory license plate bracket for the fender iron. I see them often in old photos, but have yet to find one. These seem to have been used in the early teens.

Mr. Smith, did you ever find a bracket that would work for you? I’m in the market for one as well but don’t want to step on any toes.

From the looks of the Canadian one a smithy could probably make one without too much trouble? I have a forge, maybe I’ll attempt it at some point.

Larry, I sent you both a PM(with pictures) & an eMail of a bracket I have. Not sure if your interested since you haven't responded to either. If your not, or don't hear from you in a few days, I'll move down to WorldChamp1914 and then to Tadpole f necessary.

I just sent a final notice to Larry via email. If I get no RSVP today then I'll email Saturday noting Ted is next, then you, then Scott.
I'll keep in touch with everyone via email

I don't know why I didn't get the email. If you still have the bracket I'm interested. Computers aren't my thing , so maybe that's way.

There's one on Ebay right now too:

Yes I am a bidder. Didn't want to point it out and start a bidding war amongst us. My bidding is for Larry, since I didn't think he was into eBay and lost out on the other one I sold. Trying to work a deal with the seller in buying other items to combine shipping and make all the purchases affordable. Shipping from Canada to the US via Canadian Post is double what USPS charges inside the US. If I win the Bid it goes to Larry for what I paid for it

Was this bracket used on all Canadian Model T-s?

They are scarce here in Australia too. I suspect they were an interim measure before the bracket which bolts on under the Y shaped front engine mount.

Allan from down under.
