Interesting tire tools

Post by fschrope » Sun May 26, 2019 5:55 pm

I finally decided to change a couple of real old 30x3 1/2's that have been lying around for several years. They were on a '22 Coupe that is completely original. It has a Michigan license plated dated 1964 and I suspect that is the last time it was run regularly. The tires were probably old then. 70 years old??? Probably. Anyway, I got them demounted with these tools with no problem. I lucked out as both rims are in excellent shape with no sharp edges.

Anybody seen a tire tool like the top one in the bottom picture?

Does anybody have any idea of how it is supposed to be used?

The bottom one is really nice for hooking the rim to pry the bead loose.

Looks like it may be some kind of bead buddy? Used to hold bead in place when prying bead on rim. Google motion pro bead buddy for a dirt bike version. I'm just guessing here....
