Car shipping

Post by Larry LaPatka » Thu Jan 18, 2024 9:53 pm

Just got done shipping a car by way of Bill Squires Transportation
And just wanted to let you all know as usual what a wonderful job by an equally wonderful individual. On budget, on time regardless of weather conditions, and the car was delivered in exactly the same condition as when it was loaded. I would highly recommend this carrier for any vehicle. There are still great services offered to antique auto enthusiasts.
Thank You Bill! 😁

Jim,
He is the very definition of “Special Delivery” in my eyes and many others!

From the photo, the trailer looks to have a low ceiling. Can he haul all Model T body styles or are there some that are too tall? Just curious. Jim Patrick

I believe he has more than one trailer. It would be wise to ask him if you're considering hiring him, which I highly recommend!

I've had Bill move 2 cars across several states. (Washington to Texas and Delaware to Texas) I highly recommend him.

That trailer you see in the photograph has a rear door height of 80”. Yes he has other trailers also.

My story is posted in the Forum Services as of last year but probably deserves to be repeated here.

My ‘65 Lincoln was drivable but not reliable and it was garaged at my mom’s place in northern Michigan. I contacted Mr. Squires and he went 100 miles (one way)off route in order to help me. All this happened within days of contacting him.

Upon arriving at my house we discovered the pitman arm seal was bad and I had no power steering. He helped my son push the car inside while I tried to steer. Thirty minutes later we were hit with the storm from Heck. I texted him the next day and found out he was able to skirt the storm.

I am grateful for his help and would call him again in a heartbeat.

Hi Larry,
Glad that worked out for you! If you want to try him again, my 1914 touring is still here. ;) I think the buyer was a scam.
Give me a shout and see if we can work something out.

It's great to hear about your positive experience with Bill Squires Transportation! I had a similar situation six months ago when I bought a used Ford Mustang from Florida. I was looking for reliable car shipping companies and found A1 Auto Transport on https://www.a1autotransport.com/best-ca ... companies/. They were really professional and transparent about the process.

My car was delivered faster than I expected, arriving in just a week. The whole process was smooth, from scheduling the pickup to delivery. They kept me updated throughout, and my Mustang arrived in perfect condition, just as promised. It’s reassuring to know there are dependable services out there for transporting vehicles.

Larry just echoing what you and others have stated.
Bill does have other trailers. He recently haul an early vehicle from Hot Coffee to the way west. There was plenty of headroom too. He also accommodated some extra items as lagniappe. I’d use him every time I’d need to get him.

What do you mean you “think the buyer was a scam”? Jim Patrick

Jiminbartow,
By “I think it was a scam”, he seemed to be proposing unique ways to pay for it, and eventually progressed to the “I’ll send you a check for more than you’re asking to cover shipping and you return the extra!”.
Finally I noticed a post by Hank in Tennessee (I think) that mentioned the same thing and the same seller (Tom Cannon) who he had traced to a defunct bank in Nigeria.
That was enough for me.

Bill hauled my '37 Cadillac 70 Series Convertible Sedan from St. Louis, MO to my house in Michigan. Like everyone else here, he was on time, polite and professional. I would not hesitate to use him again.
