A group from the NokenT’s of Ohio went on a two day tour this weekend. We left Friday morning with the temp at 25 degrees. We never saw 15 degrees until today. All cars performed flawlessly. Start temp this morning was 8 degrees with snow on the ground. Ignition systems to include coils with standard timer, coils with I and E timer, truefire and distributors were all in use. Not one person had ignitions problems, or starting problems (hand crank or starter), or mechanical failure. Tow truck was present but never needed. Everyone had their respective cars ready, including coupes, touring, roadster and sedan. Each person dressed appropriately, utilizing layers, hand warmers and gloves. Lots of cardboard over the radiators, most resulting in little or no reading on the motometer.
Great food, great points of interest and wonderful scenery. ( and of course great family’s and friends in attendance)
Many thanks to the Miller family and the NokenT’s for a super time. Get involved in a cold weather tour with a prepared T. These little cars will serve you well, no matter what the temperature!

Goes to show what a well maintained, well tuned T can and will do. As for the cold...well that's a different story for me!! 
And, no salt on the roads? Maybe not down there, but "up here" in Northern Ohio the salt demons as we call em, put down more salt than snow! Seriously. After the snow quits, our roads are literally caked THICK with white crusty salt, blowing up plumes of salt dust that get up into every nook and cranny not to mention all over the topsides too. It's a mess. No wonder this is called the rust belt.

There was plenty of salt on the Polar Bear Tour. Fortunately we had a day in the high 30’s (F) about a week after we got back and I was able to give Bonnie a good flushing inside and out, and underneath, even the engine. To make it a little more comfortable for me I was able to run a water hose from my house water heater through a basement window. Here’s a set of before and after photos.
