Help Finding Fallen T Pics

Post by jab35 » Wed May 22, 2024 11:16 am

Some years ago I remember a post here containing photos of a Model T being hoisted up to a second floor doorway of a theatre by way of two forklifts. The T was to be used as part of the set for a live production. The last photo showed the car in a heap on the ground, it fell off the forks before reaching the open doorway.

Does anyone have copies of those pics, or can you post the link? I looked briefly but didn't find the link.

And I'm not looking to rekindle some bad memories of an unfortunate accident, just seeking some material for a Model T 'scrapbook', no pun intended. Respectfully, jb

I remember that incident quite awhile back. I believe a Model T owner lent a theatre his brass era Model T to used as a prop in a play, but the only way to get it up to the the floor where the stage was was through a second floor loading dock. I think they were using 2 forklifts with the Model T between them, but they did not coordinate the lift properly and the Model T shifted and fell off of the forks. I remember it made me mad at the theatre owner and sad for the Model T owner. Be careful who you lend you T to. It may not be returned to you in the same condition you lent it to them in...

I did a search, using such words as Model T, accident, forklifts, falls, theatre, play, MTFCA, but could not find the pictures, but I remember them well. Jim Patrick
