The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Never hurts to buy spare races and bearings from RockAuto. Just keep them in the box on the shelf. When you need one, they will be out of stock and no one else will have it in stock.

I'll second that. And once RockAuto is out-of-stock the new price will be higher than before

I dont want to take over a thread that isnt mine, but are the rock auto outer bearings threaded? If they are the picture isn't right.

Austin

Yes. They are threaded.

Use this chart. I think I got it from Steve.

What picture are you referring to? The numbers are the same as in the chart.

Thanks all. It makes sense to me now.

A full order, minus seals, comes out to be a little over $200 plus shipping, tax, and the other 8 yards.

An outer race like the O.P. wants is $7.74 each.

Thank you . Never thought about RockAuto for this. Buy other things from them.

Austin

Yes, Rockauto used the wrong photo for the bearings. Just go by the numbers. You will get the right item.

Just a heads up. I think you'll find that many Major supplier use "representative" images of a product to convey the a general view of the product. In the case of the RockAuto photos when the are zoomed in show a general roller bearing likely used for all roller bearings they sell. If you scrolled across the the arrows there are 4 images. So don't always expect the image to be the desired product, which means further checking is needed

Interestingly enough the TIMKEN site makes no mention of "threaded"for the bearing
