Is the Turbo400 Inner Clutch Disk a thing of the past or is someone still making them?
I am having a problem finding one.

Chaffins does not have Part Number 3332 modified with many small grooves to accept the Turbo400 Disks with all the notches listed in their on-line catalog!
That is the part number I need and can't find.
I will call Dave a little later, after he gets to work.
They do have the equipment to make that part!

Who convinced you a special hub is needed?
Modified disks function the same.
I have well over 10K miles on a set. During the last motor refresh I inspected & found such minimal wear on the teeth & lining material, I reused them.
I run them in all my T's. All have higher horsepower motors. One is a BB Rajo motor.
Not trying to start a debate. I just don't swallow the BS that floats around out there.
Good luck with your search.

The problem I have is the center modified gear is on the shaft so tight that it is warped now and still will not come off the transmission shaft.
Dave said they can be straightened with a press.
That will only work if they can be separated in one piece.
That wheel was sold as a Jackrabbit Low Speed Clutch Set or Kit.
It was never sold separately!
None of those have been manufactured for several years now, which suggests Henry Ford was correct the way he had them made and no replacement was required.

Page 19 of the clubs Transmission book shows how to make your own that would work with the original clutch drum.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Expecting to do a transmission refresh, soon, I wanted to replace the original discs to get a "free" neutral, which I've never had. I decided on either Turbo 400 or a Jack Rabbit disk set. I checked Lang's online catalog and did not see the hub and disc set, so I sent them a message through their website. They responded that the individual who made the hub had a broken CNC machine used to make them and had promised to make them as soon as the machine was repaired. They said that they have been waiting a YEAR and still have not heard anything from him.

Anyone considering using the turbo clutch be advised these plates were designed to be applied by hydraulic pressure, not a coil spring. As such always use a new spring. They have a little more tension than the originals and that is crucial to successful use of the turbo clutch.

The Jack Rabbit style sold by Synders is IMO the way to go, works in my T’s.
The Turbo drum with the special multi grooves for the turbo discs isn’t made.
Plus in one install the special drum fractured trying to pull it off.
That drum is Cast Steel or some alloy,unlike forged Ford drum. It stuck on the shaft and puller broke away the removal hole on one side. Very little wall thickness at the removal holes, poor design. Had to drill and cut the cast thing off.

I see from the pic that the material used on the Jackrabbit clutch has changed to the same as the Turbo 400? That may make some more
comfortable with them. I have years on the cut down Turbo 400s with no issue I even put them back in after breaking a low drum.

At one time I considered making some TH 400 drums to sell. I just didn’t think that there was any demand. Besides a new jackrabbit clutch would probably be cheaper and probably last longer

The Jackrabbit Clutch disk pack was the secret, as it comes with 8 thicker Turbo400 disks and only uses 9 original disks with it, or perhaps 10 and they are available.
The main advantage is it improves the ability to shift from Lo to Hi or Hi to Low.
Snyders had a set and the transmission is back together now.
