Post by blauvelt » Thu Jun 19, 2025 1:20 pm

Buggered the threads on the nose of my T cam, anyone have a die they wouldn’t mind parting with? Thanks.

The 9/16 thread for the nose, or the 15/16 thread for the cam gear? Have you considered a 3 corner file to repair the thread? or a thread file?

Might try a thread cleaning file, might work better than a die. Dies are ok for lightly booger thread but don't really follow the path if thread boogered at the beginning.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Thank you Dan. You’re right the metal was very soft, little bit of patience, and all came through.
