rear end bearing sleeves

Post by Colin Mavins » Mon Aug 04, 2025 7:41 pm

I have found in Dads garage nos bearing sleeves , I am guessing they are soft as apposed to the hardened sleeves for sale by vendor. Should I buy hardened sleeves or use the Nos sleeves. Back in Dads day you would use inner sleeves from another diff and use them as outer sleeves to complete your rebuild. Thanks in advance for your wisdom Cheers Colin

Use them. Better to wear the sleeves than the original hyatts.

Are the sleeves marked "Ford" or "Hyatt"? If so, definitely use them.

Dad had a good idea... And as long as you have two lefts and two rights on those NOS Sleeves, you're set.
