Oil flow indicator

Post by Craig Leach » Mon Oct 13, 2025 2:05 am

When taking up the rods in my speedster I found some silicone in the trans screen. So I blew out all three oil lines ( I'm a little anal about
getting oil flow in my Ts) Put oil in & ran till warmed up, then @ medium speed for a while& re-drained to check for more silicone. You can
check the outside oil lines by taking them loose to see their flow but not the inside one! So I drilled a 1/8" hole in the right front pan bolt,
brazed a drilled 1/8 pipe cap to it & installed a petcock in the pipe cap. Now with the engine running I can open the petcock up to see if I'm
getting oil from the inside oil line.
