Anyone have a valve similar to this in your stash?

Post by schwabd1 » Sun Jan 25, 2026 10:31 pm

I'm gathering parts to build a '26 roadster fuel delivery truck with my grandsons. I know many of you have all kinds of interesting things hidden away. I'm looking for a valve similar to this that would be used on a fuel delivery truck. Anyone out there have something similar they would be willing to part with?

Frank, I'm looking for the big brass valve at the bottom of the bulk tank. Your picture of the "Purol-Pep" truck is better than my pic. I only need one of the valves.

Craig

Thanks for that lead, tried to google but didn't know the name. ULine has a 2" thread brass one, handle could be painted to hide modern look or modify it.

Thanks for the replies, even though the drum valves look similar, it looks like they all have an external "gate" to shut off the flow of the liquid, Nothing to attach a delivery hose to. From period photos the valves have a connection, such as a cam lock hose to deliver to a storage tank and also a hook to hold the 5 gallon fuel cans while filling

Ya, I know that's not a "T"...... just showing the fuel cans.

I used to have 3 tank valves on a Texaco tank. When it dries out, I'll see if I can locate them.

When it dries out....... It's been getting down to 0 or below up here. Last I looked they were predicting -12 degrees for Saturday morning. I should be thankful it's only -12. Lots of places are far colder than that. Thanks for looking Frank.
