And Toon Boer.

Toon teached me how to rebuild an armature
Ron teached me how it should be done to rebuild a generator and a starter.

Good luck

Certainly there are some pretty reputable vendors mentioned that do a great job of rebuilding and setting up a generator. But if you want to stay more local, look around for a shop that does electrical work on old tractors. Many of these folks understand 3rd brush generators and can do a credible rebuild job on them. Set them up with John Regan's instructions once reinstalled.

I get gen and starter done by Buckeye, and they are in Ohio. Good work, good price. Pick ‘em up at Hershey.

Model T Ford Generator and Starter Rebuilding

Post by Ron Patterson » Thu May 14, 2020 9:21 am

I am no longer rebuilding Model T Ford generators and starters.
I am in the initial stages of transitioning the rebuilding business/process to the new owner.

I do not anticipate any changes to my Model T Ford ignition coil rebuilding activities.
In fact, I recently purchased enough parts to rebuild coils for the next ten years.
Then, after forty years of coil rebuilding I will probably stop.
Thinking positively.

Buckeye will sell you the parts and let you do it yourself, if you know what you are doing.
