Late 1912-Early 1913 KW Ignition Coil-Need helP

Post by Ron Patterson » Fri Aug 09, 2024 1:08 pm

I am building a KW Coilbox & Coils for a Late 1912 to Early 1913 Model T.
This coilbox & coils was only used by Ford for 6 months when transition to the Ford/KW co-produced metal top coils became available.
I have everything I need with the exception of one point adjuster thumbnut.
This thumbnut is unique in that the threads are 6-32 as opposed to the 10-32 used in later coils.
I have enclosed some photos so you can see what I am seeking and where it was used.
If anyone has one of these spare or has a early KW coil (regardless if it has an open secondary winding or not) they would sell me please let me know.
Thanks
Ron Patterson

I'll check Ron - I ended up with most of Otis Clinton's brass goodies !

Just tyo clarify, in addition to being a 6-32 threaded hole the top of the knurled thumbnut is 500.

I drive a Model T ... Microseconds don't matter :D

For every Absolute Model T Fact there are at least three exceptions.

I'll have to check someday. I have a couple of dozen '13 coils, and none are for sale!

Thanks for the feedback.
I found what I needed, one thumbnut for a 1912-1913 KW Williams design coil.
