Cowl Lacing

Post by GG Gregory » Sun Aug 04, 2019 1:38 pm

How's the best way to install new Cowl Lacing on a 27 Roadster ? The old lacing was held in place with small ring shank nails through tiny new holes made into the Cowl....yes I know that's not the correct way. I'm lost at how to keep the lacing lined up and drilling the hole through it for rivets.

If I remember right it is held in place by spiral shank nails.

Should be held on with split rivets. The heads are inside the cowl and the split part is outside. Almost impossible to install with the gas tank in place.
