Wanted - Radius Rods for a 1925
I need two rods for a rebuild. The two that were taken off have lost a good amount of thread due to rust.
Thanks for any help.

Scott,
Do not scrap those, if they are not swollen they can be repaired. The ends are forged and can be welded.

Ken,
Any place to source weldable threaded ends for the rods or do you have to make them yourself?

Hi Scott,
I don't know if these are the correct style? They came off a set that had the other end cut off & I used the middle to repair some broken top bows. Craig.

Those are later '26 & '27 with the "fixed" collars - early '26 used 2 nuts & a lock washer. The fork end is also different.

Re: Wanted - Radius Rods for a 1925
Those cut off rods are for a late 1926-27 car and have the fixed collar. They would have to be welded to the old rods at exactly the correct length. I am sure that you could turn the collar off , weld threads up and rethread the entire length to use the two nuts like the stock 1925 rods using you stock 1925 rods with bad ends cut off and replaced with these ends. This will allow for some small adjustment in length because of the lock nuts.
