WTB: Steering Shaft
I am needing a good steering column shaft for my 26 Coupe. The vendors are all out of stock. Does anyone have a new one lying around or, a good used one that you are willing to sell? Or even a complete steering column with a good shaft.

Re: WTB: Steering Shaft
How do you determine if the shaft is for 26-27 and not 12-25?

Re: WTB: Steering Shaft
The 26-27 is a 5 to 1 ratio. The top of the shaft where the gears and pins go should have a 5 stamped into it. The hole spacing is different than the earlier 4 to 1 type. I believe that all of the reproduction shafts are 5 to 1. The 26-27 column has a square mounting plate where if bolts to the cowl. Here are pictures form Lang's website of the 26-27 box. I am not sure of the difference. I think maybe it mounts at a different angle.

Re: WTB: Steering Shaft
The earlier steering bracket is quite a bit different in design.
