Wanted: Low Radiator

Post by Fozz71 » Sun Oct 20, 2024 9:44 pm

Anyone have a working low radiator sitting around? I’m in northern IL and my 1919 needs a little better one.

Thanks,
James

Might wanna consider sending it to your local radiator shop over the winter and having it re-cored or maybe even just boiled out. When my original round tube rad sprung a leak where the overflow tube fits on the tank showed up, taking the rad to the shop was the best thing I did. They boil 'em out as a normal procedure and wow, now it cools like no tomorrow! A mere $85 repair job just gave me a "new" $900+ radiator!! It seldom has the red stuff of the moto meter reach the "open circle" on a 90 degree day.

Joe, my radiator is pretty beaten up and although it holds water, I do think it is time for an upgrade. Can you message me and we can exchange details? Thanks!
