Model T Speedometer Repairs?

Post by OilyBill » Wed Jun 10, 2020 10:23 pm

Anyone have a recommendation on a company or individual who rebuilds 1927 Model T speedometers and does a good job? I have a very nice 1927 speedometer that I want disassembled, cleaned, lubed, reassembled and adjusted. It has very few miles on it, and was original to the car I am working on.
I am very wary that someone will take it in, then use all the good parts inside to rebuild some other speedometers, and then put junk stuff in mine and send it back to me. So, experiences, anyone?
Thanks in advance!

Russ Furstnow wrote the book on speedometers, literally. He will do it right.

Thank you! I had heard the name, but didn't know anything about him.
I will try and contact him tomorrow.
