Starter Brush Holder ?

Ian rebuilding some starters and was cleaning up the brush holders saw this.

What you ask? Look at where wire connects to and compare to this one.

See the angle of the mount? They are both Stewart. One is angled back. Looked a box of 12+ NOS plates and none are like that one. Any idea what was going on? Early starter? Just a test run. Strange only 3 holders in pile like that out of about a dozen.
Any one seen this before. I have built a few starter and this only time I notice it. Thanks Dan

I have seen those on the early generator brush plates.
Most likely as you say, an early starter.
