NEED HELP TO IDENTIFY CAR MAKE AND MODEL

Hello,
I am trying to date this photo for family history research. The young man second from left is my father. The photo is taken in front of the home where he grew up in central Kentucky. We are thinking that it would be around 1927. It appears to have rear suicide doors and looks quite new. I know you there are several knowledgable folks out there that can quickly know what it is. Thanks, any help is appreciated.

Your father appears to be 5-7 years old. Looks like T is 26 or 27.

Looks like a Dodge sedan to me. It’s big. In my google findings, it seems that only Dodge had the cowl light, vent and body line under the window somewhat matching the picture. I could be wrong but that’s my 3¢.

Definitely NOT a Ford! Not many details to make a positive identification, and I am not a Dodge expert. So if some of our Dodge brethren can look in here they may be better able to help. Zooming in close, the finger ridges around the rim look like some of what I know Dodge did use. What little I could see of the rear fender does appear to maybe be Dodge. I couldn't find much, but what I did find leads me to believe Dodge is very likely.

I don’t think it’s a Ford. Looking closely the steering wheel is different than a Ford and the small light or whatever it is on the cowl isn’t Ford. To me anyway.
To me it’s maybe a Dodge or similar car that’s a Fordor. There were other cars in that era that had the Fordor look that were real similar in appearance. If we could see the headlights that probably would clear it up for sure.

I bet Jim who is the poster also wonders who is in the back seat. When looking at family pictures we have there are some we would like to know but I guess we’ll never find out.

Thanks for the analysis! Thanks Steve for the blow up of the step plate, I was hoping someone could do that. With the cowl lights and vent and straight cowl/hood I had ruled out a Ford. Having done more research since posting with the visor and other features I had arrived on it possibly being a Dodge brothers car. My dad was born in 1922, I has guessed him at about 5 in the picture so around 1927 for the date. The home place is in what was a very inaccessible area up until the early 1950's. The family drove Fords so this is likely not a family car. So now even more of a mystery!

I think Brad Kirtner is on to it. This 1927 Dodge is as close as I can find.

Many features match, cowl vent, cowl lights, visor and door levers. So many cars had visors like that with 2 screws on the side.

Maybe 1926 Buick? Don’t know if Buick’s had cowl flaps though.

Rich E’s Dodge pic looks to be right on. Think he got it in my view! The inside door latches look alike.
