Why are the demountable rims displayed inside the wheels? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Actually, this was Henry's first attempt at what he called a "stationary assembly line". The idea was to drop all the parts in one place and have a completed car. Alas, it didn't fare too well.
I understand the Ford engineer who came up with the idea was dismissed not long after........................

I have seen that several times in the Science Museum in London right across the street from the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Ha ... I see that one is at Henry Ford Museum .. not the Science Musem. So evidently there is more than one. The Duetches Museum in Munich may have one too. Everything in that place is cut in half!

The wheels and rims are still in the wrong positions...you'd think somebody would fixt that.
