Vaporizer Carburetor

Post by BLB27 » Thu Oct 01, 2020 11:25 pm

I am trying to disassemble my 1927 vaporizer. I can get all of the bolts loose, but not the vaporizer outlet tube nut. Any suggestions?

I just can't get it loose. I plant to rebuild the carb so I think I will use a dremel to saw thru the sleeve nut. Any comments?

What Steve said. Turn the nut red and let it cool.

Thanks to both Steves. It worked! The bronze nut on the bottom of the carb won't come off. Is it ok to use 'high" heat on it too? Probably a dumb question but I was hesitant because of it being bronze.
