Building a fake race car 1909-1910

A news article from the India circa 1910 about the construction of "specials" that are to be stock and compete in races. It appears that in the early years of the automobile age the stock cars that appear in races were not stock at all but specials with a mess of upgrades. The author points a finger to American manufactures building special to have an edge, but a discussion on Europeans using fuel additives to get more power.
