In addition to the wonderful color we enjoyed hot cider and donuts at a cider mill, lunch at a pleasant restaurant and of for the true diehards...ice cream. By all accounts a good time was had by all.

Color Tour
I'm sitting at home, warming up after an afternoon touring the back roads about 40 miles north of Detroit with 42 other members of the Casual T's club. The vast majority drove Model T's although we did have a few cars from the 30's and 40's whose occupants wanted to enjoy the luxury of heat
My wife and I left the top down on our touring so as to be able to fully appreciate the beautiful colors although temperatures in the mid-40's required us to dress carefully. Our ancestors were hardy folk!
In addition to the wonderful color we enjoyed hot cider and donuts at a cider mill, lunch at a pleasant restaurant and of for the true diehards...ice cream. By all accounts a good time was had by all.

Re: Color Tour
Beautiful picture and area Tim. We had crappy weather Sunday so the cars stayed in the barn.
Thanks for posting. Glad you got out. May not be many left!

Re: Color Tour
That is quite beautiful! Here it was very hot last week and this week is cooler. It was 60 outside today and the coldest so far this fall. Here the leaves are either evergreen or they turn brown and the "Santa Ana"wind blows them away in a few days. There are a few trees with colorful leaves, but again the wind blows them away very soon. However between storms, we sometimes have weather in the 60's and 70's even in January, so we have tours all year around.

Re: Color Tour
For many of our folks it was the first and the last tour of 2020. We may get some "Indian Summer" but for the most part the Model T's are going back in the barn until next spring. November is just a few days away and in the Great Lakes region, November marks the turning point between fall and winter, and is often ushered in by storms and unsettled weather. The "Gales of November" have long been feared by sailors and there were probably more ships sunk on the lakes in that month than all the rest combined.....
Our little tour was a nice respite among all the drama that has been 2020. It was great to see old friends and it gave us hope that 2021 will be a better year.....

Re: Color Tour
Another great tribute to Jack a wonderful gentleman. Too bad I couldn’t make it this year, looks like everyone had a great time. I hope to participate next year with my recently finished C cab truck.

Re: Color Tour
John is referring to Jack Zimmer, and to be correct, this tour was the Jack Zimmer Memorial Color Tour. Jack had a positive influence on many of our members and unfortunately passed away far too young. His wife and daughter joined us on the tour which was a nice thing.
