Bailey Rettig RIP

Post by Ron Patterson » Wed Feb 10, 2021 6:01 pm

Heard from Bailey's daughter that Bailey pass away early today.
He was in the hospital battling Cancer.
I made several trips to Argentina with Bailey over the last fifteen years to participate in MTFC of Argentina events and made many wonderful Model T friends.
The Argentine Model T Club really knows how to have a goodtime.
God speed Bailey Rettig.

He was a member of our Orange County, CA club. He sometimes would tell us about his travels and cam on tours with a Model T with a French body. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear this. He was fun to be around and full of enthusiasm for Model T's. Prayers for his family.

I once sold a T to Bailey. He didn’t even have it loaded into his trailer before he was letting the neighborhood kids sit in it. A good guy, full of life. He will be missed.

Hi, Lee, surely you already know the death of our friend, Bailey Rettig, on February 10th. For more than twelve years, Bailey, later accompanied by Olivia, his wife, participated in all our Annual Meetings and we were able to share with him other meetings in the United States, Uruguay, Spain and France. Although it is possible that the family has already shared them, I wanted to participate in our Club's tribute to Bailey.

Daniel, Thank you dearly for posting such a moving tribute to our friend and fellow Model Ter.

Bailey and Olivia would drive close to 2 hours from their home to meet up at Garrett Greens house before our club meetings where we would talk about T's and other worldly topics.

The Orange County Model T Ford Club enjoyed the many tales Bailey and Olivia shared about their Model T travels. Often he shared about his successes and what unique names he had to call the different T parts in order to get passed thru customs.

His presence will be deeply missed.
