One more Luray Post

Post by Dan Hatch » Thu May 20, 2021 9:00 am

I got home ok, hope everyone else did too.
Got to thinking about this years Luray, most vendors ever there I think. Believe I saw a figure of high 60’s. Lots of really good parts, like Hershey of a few years ago.
Any way, I got to thinking I did better selling and buying that I have at the last few years at Hershey. And that was in a lot less time day wise than Hershey.
So anyone that is on the fence about too far, not open long enough needs to rethink not coming to Luray.
This my thoughts as I get ready to go to doc to get my Virginia stitches out.😀
See you’d guys next year. Dan

Dan Hatch said "my thoughts as I get ready to go to doc to get my Virginia stitches out".

Okay. What did I miss?

That much I figured out! I thought maybe there was a post in one of the several Luray threads talking about it? I had missed a few of those, and a quick look back I didn't see anything.
I just get concerned about people I consider friends on the internet.

What was worse than my boo boo was coming back from hospital and almost hitting a large doe in downtown Luray.

Thanks for bringing my part. Nice doing business with you Dan. By the way I can confirm Dan was in one piece when I left.

Somehow or another I have been the recipient of the "Dan Hatch Bad Luck Award" while traveling. On the way home, Lost a replacement alternator cooking the battery, another 200 miles, get a flat tire. I did not even get mad! Imagine that!

I am still looking for the miss aligned chicken bones that were place in the car or trailer by Dan and his friends. I know they did it! For Dan's next travel, I have a new roll of fine bubble wrap!

I concur with Dan H. With 69 vendors, they're actually starting to fill up, but there is room for expansion. This one was the best Luray meet ever. Lotsa good parts, lotsa yuks, nice vendors' dinner, and all within a day's drive of a good percentage of Forum participants.

Hank

Maybe you should put some limberger cheese on his radiator.

Hank: It’s not voodoo, it Va as in Virginia curse.
On the way home my tire sensor on trailer started go off. But it was not low pressure. I had now 472 psi in one tire. I stopped and looked maybe bad sensor I hope.
I plan a gift to the god of tires and bearings next week has to be only it months with a u in them. Dan

P. S. Got stitches out today, healing good.

This was my first Luray trip and I was very pleased with the amount of items I sold. It seemed the items were going on restorations which is great.

One question I have is there was a guy three rows from the woods (about in the middle facing the pavilion) that had two solid steel wheels with 16" tires on them) that fit stock spindles. They were very unique and I was interested in buying those for my speedster, but nobody was at the stand the few times I was there. If anyone knows who had them please let me know.
