Model Ts and Memorial Day

Post by ModelT46 » Thu May 27, 2021 1:24 pm

Take out your Model T Ford on memorial day. If it is one that was new or used in 1917-18, put an American Flag on or about it, in memory of those you served in "The War to end all wars" If it is later one, also have a flag on it to honor those you served ion later wars or conflicts. My 1910 Touring sat in a rented garage while I served in the army as an enlisted man (RA) during the Korean Conflict. Two uncles served during WW11, one of them also was a WWI veteran. A brother of mine served in the army 1946-48 in Japan. We decorate the grave sites of each of these.

Darel - couldn’t agree more. Uncle Buck flies our flag on Memorial Day, D-Day, July 4, Labor Day and Veterans/Armistice Day.

Wife and I drove to Western Reserve National Memorial Cemetery where my father is... and sadly mom will be joining him in a couple days since her passing this Saturday at 90 years old.
