26 hogs head
Has any one modified an regular block to mate to a 26 hogs head using the mounting ears?

I haven't, and I'd speculate that the earlier blocks would not have enough iron in that area to do it.

Took the holes in the 26 hogshead and threaded a plug-in.Then taped the plug to accept a 5/16 bolt so I could still use the two arms that connect to the frame rails.

That is not stopping the pan twist which causes broken crankshafts.

Ken is right. Just get those 2 accessory L brackets that fit under the crankcase with 4 bolt holes each that stabilizes the tranny cover, pan and block. I’m at the Dr. office now but someone will list the correct nomenclature.
