Champion x gap

I just submitted a thread yeasterday to get your opinions on my spark plugs and the consensus is that they look fine, so, my gaps are probably set properly, but I’m going to ask this anyway. Regarding the Champion X spark plugs… I know the instructions that came with the plugs recommends a gap of .025, and that is what I have always used, but there are always exceptions to the rule and many of you do a lot of work trying different things to get the most out of your Model T engines. In your experiences, have you discovered a gap that works more optimally than .025? Jim Patrick

Jim I like to make a suggestion.. I would send those plugs back to the supplier. Looking at the threads... The threads do not show a point, rather than a flatness. The deepness or the sharpness of those threads are not quality and my estimation since they will not seal into the threads of the cylinder head. The flat threads promote compression leakage.

Plug gap at 0.025" works optimum as long as your ignition coils are calibrated correctly.

I assume that those are used plugs. dirt around the porcelain. The 4 plugs are an enlarged photo so some detail on threads gets lost. May be sharper then they appear

Thank you all for your responses. Those are brand new, never used plugs I bought from Snyder’s 10 years ago and recently sold on eBay. The buyer was very happy with them. Jim Patrick
