Retired Dr. and Model T'er celebrates her 100th Birthday

Post by John Dow » Fri Feb 25, 2022 11:12 am

(Overland Park, Ks) Dr. Rosemary Schrepfer (retired OB/Gyn) celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends at a local restaurant chauffeured via Model T, of course. Rosemary's maternal Grandmother acquired a '23 Centerdoor in 1925 to haul eggs and milk to market. At age 12 Rosemary was given the responsibility of driving herself and her younger siblings the 10 miles to and from school in the old Centerdoor. Since those days the T has become a beloved fixture in the Schrepfer family. From performing as the family taxi to being the Wedding get-a-way vehicle on a couple of occasions she has served the family faithfully. In more recent years the '23 has undergone a professional restoration and now rests comfortably in Lake Charles, LA.

Pictured is Dr Rosemary Schrepfer and her nephew Mark Jones. Seated in John Dow's 1923 Touring.

Those folks are National Treasures. We lose so many who remember the model T in such wondrous ways.
Thanks from all of us for doing that. It will be well remembered I'm sure.
Rich
When did I do that?

John,
It was very nice for you to take the time to help that lady to celebrate her 100th birthday. Obviously the Model T played a big role in her early life, and I am sure that you giving her a ride released a flood of great memories.
Regards,
Mike
