Who knows? Maybe their great product was getting relentlessly trashed without merit by the coil "Experts" of the day to protect their grip on the "accepted" tools and methods they peddled. That could have certainly driven them to extremes trying desperately to entice folks to just try their great new product knowing it was the one of the best coil testers and trouble shooting units on the market. Course if it really was, word of mouth experience is very powerful and would have likely made such extremes unnecessary.
