Subject: Model T Auction==
Hello,
This email is to inform you of the auction of the estate of the late Stan Howe an avid Model T collector in Montana. Stan was a musician and an auctioneer who passed away last year. Stan was never married and had no children and left his estate to various charities throughout the state.
Pate auction service in Helena Montana is conducting three online auctions on his behalf. Although all three auctions will have Model T stuff within them the third auction is mainly Model T parts and collectibles. I’m reaching out so you might inform anybody that would possibly have interest in the auctions containing his Model T items. His collection was one of the largest in Montana to our knowledge.

Several cars were previously donated to beneficiaries and his personal museum was donated in its entirety to the Model T museum in Richmond Indiana. All remaining items will be sold online through Pate Auction service in Helena Montana. The first auction is currently on their website and will open for bidding in just a few days. Again most of the Model T stuff will be in the third auction, but due to the mass volume of items several will be spread through all three. Stan's specialty was carburetors and there will be several hundred available at the auction alone.
If possible would you please inform anybody you might know that would have interest in this auction for us. Currently they are posting photos of the auction that will start in a few days but I did notice this evening that unless I use their app I could not view all of the photos so be aware there may be a delay if you’re going to the general website for auction listed items. The auction company has agreed to offer shipping for smaller items therefore making it easier for people purchasing things from out of state.
Thank you and feel free to call me if you have any questions or would like more information.

Stan sold me some parts and I have one of his rebuilt rear axles. He was a successful auctioneer and always spoke against bidder premiums. Interesting that this auction has a 10% bidder premium on all sales.

Re: Stan Howe auction of parts of collections
FYI, I called and spoke with the auction company representative this morning after looking through their website. The first auction contains mainly modern tools. I didn't see any Model T parts pictured. Feel free to check it out yourself. He indicated because there is so much stuff to go through that the dates for the 2nd & 3rd auctions have not been set because of the volume of items. He also indicated he hoped to hold them a month apart.

Re: Stan Howe auction of parts of collections
I spotted a Model T running board toolbox with its latches removed.
Well, it could be used on a Model T, but I don't think Ford ever sold any tool boxes for their cars. Ford tools issued with each car came in a roll.
The inevitable often happens.

Re: Stan Howe auction of parts of collections
I went through most of the listings and saw lots of T parts, plus his 27 Coupe. There are lots of frames, engines and parts, rear axles, wheels etc. plus fenders, radiator, what appears to be a truck conversion frame.

Re: Stan Howe auction of parts of collections
I talked to Bill Howe yesterday. He said Stan had an enormous amount of T parts, with some included in each sale. The third sale will be mostly T parts. They will help with shipping items you buy. He also informed me that the MTFCA Museum will be getting Stan’s private collection of rare T items. Can’t wait to see what is coming.

Re: Stan Howe auction of parts of collections
Slim chance, but if anyone gets finds this in Stan's collection, I'd be interested. It's the needle valve and needle from the small Zenith carb on my 1921 Peugeot. I sent them to Stan a few months before he passed, but the family never found them. Needle is about 2.5" long. Might have my name on the parts bag!
Thanks,
Phil Jamison

Re: Stan Howe auction of parts of collections
I have a Stromberg OF that Stan rebuilt for me several years ago. I have never installed it due to life getting in the way. I don't know if I should use it or just put it on display.
I feel honored to own it. Dave

1925 mostly original coupe.

I think Stan would want you to use it.
