Can someone lead me to where I might find some info on Ford using FISHER bodies, please. Photo is from a 1920 coupe.

There is a bit of discussion in this thread in regard to a centerdoor that might be of interest if you haven't seen it already.

When did I do that?

Ross -- When I was working on a '16 Coupelet project several years ago, I spent a week at the Benson Archives trying to chase down some details of the Coupelet bodies. Folks here on the Forum said that Fisher made the Coupelet and Sedan bodies for Ford at that time. I found scant information on the body details, since Ford didn't make them. Ford made the chassis and bought the bodies from Fisher's plant across town, and installed the bodies on the chassis. Apparently the bodies were completely finished and painted when Ford received them.

So when I struck out at the Benson, I contacted the Fisher Body Corp., which of course was bought by GM sometime around 1920 (don't remember the exact date). It turned out that Fisher has no records from the teens or early 20's, since those records were lost in a fire. So that was another dead-end in my search for info. I hope your search is more fruitful.
