McDonough Model T Go Kart
I am looking for some parts for the McDonough T10 Go Kart. Is there a source for parts for these?
I am mainly looking for the 2 piece pulley for the motor shaft and the gear box pulley with the reverse disk mounted to it.
Thanks,
Robbie

No luck so far.
Anybody know which snapper mowers share some of the same parts?

I doubt if many members are familiar with the T 10 parts as you are, so you need to help with some dimensions. Do you have the parts to measure?
A replacement double belt pulley should be easy enough to find with the dimensions, OD, ID, key way size and belt size.
The gear box pulley with the reverse disk mounted to it is likely to be difficult - how is the revers disk attached? would a separate pulley work. --

Found a picture of the reverse disk link shows instructions https://gokartguru.com/model-t-go-kart-reverser-disc/
Again that pulley should be able to be found

Hi Robby,
Looks like you found the reverse pulley. the engine drive pulley should be something that a Bearing, belt & Chain dealer would have. The
model that used the Snapper parts was a different one that used a vertical shaft engine, belt tensioner clutch and a forward & reverse belt
to chain 90* shift box that was used in early riding mowers. The gear box in yours is from a washing machine.
Craig.

The pulley on the engine has two grooves, the groove closest to the engine is cut so that the reverser disc will mesh inside it and cause it to turn in the opposite direction. The outer groove is adjustable and takes a 3/8” wide belt which drives the pulley the reverser disc is mounted to.
I found a pulley that is similar which I have included a picture of.
I also am including a diagram showing the parts. It’s not very clear but you get the idea. There are also part numbers listed.

I think this one is close but will have to get a measurement to be sure.

I think you will find that both groves are adjustable on that Grainger pulley.

Re: McDonough Model T Go Kart
That could work especially for fitment of the reverse disc because it makes contact with the taper of the pulley.
The original pulley was 3” diameter and this one isn’t that far off especially with it being adjustable.
