Radiator lead time

Post by DHort » Fri Oct 14, 2022 1:26 pm

I ordered a radiator from Langs this week. Steve informed me the lead time is 186-203 days. The order gets drop shipped to the manufacturer. I guess the xmas boy is going to get a picture of his present. That is OK with me. He does not deive in the snow anyway.

I am not complaining. Just letting everyone know how long it might take so schedule your repairs accordingly.

So is somebody other than Brassworks making Model T radiators now? I figured they were the only game in town since Gery Bergbower quit.

Was this for black or brass?

I'm pretty sure its just The Brassworks. I just ordered a low radiator from them and it's a 5 month lead time directly from them. I suspect the vendors are also ordering from Brassworks.

I saw some pretty decent brass radiators at Hershey. Posting a want ad may scare up one.

Dave: I ordered a flat tube for my '26 coupe on March 2 this year from Lang's. It was drop shipped from Brassworks September 9 and arrived by ups the following week. 8.5 Benjamins for the radiator and 1.5 to pack and ship. It was worth the wait. YMMV, but probably not much, take care, jb
