Stromberg OF. Unmolested original

Post by Bruce Compton » Thu Oct 20, 2022 10:18 pm

Probably the nicest OF I have ever had. Perfect for someone that wants that original patina look from a near perfect Stromberg OF. There is virtually no wear showing anywhere; the needle, the float and pivot mechanism, throttle arm/bushing, economizer arm and roller, and choke mechanism. I have removed and cleaned the idle jet (was not plugged) , inspected the main jet (clean and clear), and removed and cleaned the economizer valve. I see no reason why this carb would not function perfectly as it is so I'm very hesitant to do it up, and since I'm still having issues with my hands have decided to offer it as is. Asking $475.00 including shipping ,........ or I can spend another 2 1/2- 3 1/2 hours and make it into a $650.00 carburetor, something I really don't want to do.

He wants the pretty pastel "coloured" plastic pics of Queens and Kings or metal punch press pictures of aquatic birds like loonies or polar bears on the toonies!

Looks like you are getting the deal you wanted for a carb. I think you can't go wrong with the Stromberg!
Everything works in theory.
Reality is how you determine if something works or not.

Steve: Sorry for the delay, but you were third in line. The 1st had a major personal issue and I'm waiting now on the 2nd fellow. I'll give him till this evening to get back to me. Bruce
