Cutaway Illustration Questions
I was studying this beautiful cutaway illustration by Yoshihiro Imomoto. It is called a 1926 Model T Touring... but I think it might employ some artistic license. To my amateur Model T enthusiast eyes, it is clearly an "Improved Ford" body and front fenders, but it seems to be on an earlier chassis. For example, it has an earlier firewall, earlier engine and ignition, and earlier fuel tank location. There are other clues of the earlier chassis too, like the earlier front spindles, and small rear brakes, and pedals. The exhaust system doesn't look quite right either. What do you think?
Note that I used AI to enhance the resolution, so the fine details may be not as in the artist's original.Flivver, Paris Ontario CANADA

Yes, you will find it a bit different than Canadian or USA, the original publication was in England. Maybe a Eruopean artist.

Re: Cutaway Illustration Questions
Pinterest lists it as a 1925. I wonder if it was updated with new body and other details left as '25. That's a lot of work to go to and not be correct.

Re: Cutaway Illustration Questions
Was there are transition-year Touring made between 1925 and 1926 that had the '26 body on the '25 chassis? Maybe in Canadian production, or in Europe? (Although I don't think this is a European 'T since it does not have the lowered front axle.)

Re: Cutaway Illustration Questions
Its just an illustration. So evaluating the entire print it would appear that you have been misinformed. The title on the lower left corner says 1925 Ford Model Touring Car. Not sure who labeled it as a 1926 other than you. So your question is in question. --Flivver wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 8:06 amI was studying this beautiful cutaway illustration by Yoshihiro Imomoto. Re: Cutaway Illustration Questions
I see. I was mistaken. Rather than a '26 body on a '25 chassis, it's a '25 chassis with a '26 body. Beautify illustration, none the less.

Thank you for the link! I searched the forum before posting my question, because I inevitably discover that anything that occurs to me has already been discussed. But in this case I could not find anything... until now!
