Ford Model A 1903 Transmission Question

Hello everybody on the MTFCA forum!

My name is Jermain (21y/o) This is my first post on this forum and I am happy to be able to speak to fellow Ford enthusiasts.
2 years ago I made my own Ford Quadricycle replica and want to continue my mechanical endeavors by starting a new project. My next project will be trying to recreate the original Ford model A from 1903. Information on this car is very scarce.

The transmission of the model A functions almost exactly the same as a Ford model T. But for the life of me, I can seem the visualise in my head how exactly the transmission is build-up. I have found some photos in the brochure of the model A but it isn't 100% clear.

When comparing the the model A transmission and the model T transmission the part cant be carried over as I hoped.As they would interfere with one an another.

Hugh "Sandy" Mctavish of Milverton Ontario was the authority on Ford's early model A. I believe that his sons are still involved with old cars, after his passing.

Unlike the Model T, which has a transmission shaft that bolts onto the crankshaft, the Model A transmission is based on a crankshaft which is a single piece that runs from one side of the crankcase, out the other side, and through the transmission as well, right through the entire power unit. The engine crankcase is on one end, and the transmission is on the other end. Instead of running fore and aft, the engine/transmission assembly in a Model A Ford runs across the car from one side to the other.
Go to the Early Ford Website, and you can see excellent information on the original Ford Model A, along with many diagrams and pictures of both the engine assembly, the transmission assembly, and how they mate together to form the power unit for the car, along with how the ignition system breaker is mounted on one end along with the water pump, and the crank provision for starting is mounted on the opposite end. (The Model A cranks from the side of the car, rather than the front.)
