Yep I got it too. Looks like a scammer to me with it being such a general message. I guess you never know, could be someone legit but if so they sure make it look like a scam.

Bottom line advice to any emails or texts..if they're NOT a reply to what YOU intiated...dump em! You didn't need anything from them before they found you, and you don't need the headache that they're gonna give you!

I just deleted a flood of spam, but that wasn't one of the bogus emails I sent to Trash. A new wrinkle I've seen lately is emails that purport to be from me. What the...?! Of course those go to Trash along with all the other scams and phishing attempts. My favorites are the ones telling me my non-existent account has been suspended until I take the bait. :D

I like the grammatical and syntax errors, very authentic. For scammers, would it kill them to hire someone who can put sentences together with proper spelling and so on?

I expect most of them are one-person operations that don't reap enough suckers to hire help. Crime may actually pay, but often it doesn't pay very much. In those cases these people are in it despite that because they're crooks at heart.

The fractured English Pat parodied so nicely often comes from thieves in Europe, Africa, or Asia. When I check scam addresses I often find a .ru (Russia).

Interesting. I once sold an expensive camera I no longer used and every inquiry was a scam. And there were a lot. Finally someone local bought it through word of mouth.

Gee, I didn’t get the message! To whom do I complain! I work for the state of Indiana, and have one of their computers, so I have to take classes almost constantly on how to avoid scams, identity theft, phishing, and every other evil thing the bad guys can try!

I also got one. It’s a scam. It was Blind Carbon Copied to a LOT of people. Received in my email account that I do not use to receive correspondence because I have my mail forwarded to that account.
