FJ- Picking Up A 1957 Pontiac Starchief Survivor Today With 16K Original Miles !

Post by FreighTer Jim » Tue May 02, 2023 9:39 am

Rained all yesterday here
in Central Indiana so I
couldn’t pick up …

I am on my way now to pick up a
running and driving 1957 Pontiac
Starchief that has 16K original miles !

Found stored in a barn.

New owner has been looking
for one since he was a kid …

I plan on doing a video with
the Seller about the background
of the car and how he came to
find it along with my usual
walk around video I take
at pick up before loading up.

Will post the background video
on my YouTube channel and post
link here on this thread ….

That's a rare bird with enough chrome for 20 struggling worker families.

My uncle bought a new 1957 Pontiac with a 4 barrel V8 and factory air... Woohoo! Cold air in August! He traded it in on a 1960 (?) Chrysler 300. That thing would really move.

What a great morning …

Let’s start with Brian’ s 1967 GTO
that he spent eight years personally
restoring - look carefully at the
car cover - it is period correct !

The new caretaker Roland was
very pleased - the car exceeded
his expectations …
