Re: Driveshaft CRACK
Might also be a good time to switch to a modern pinion bearing.....

Removing the sleeve isn’t easy!
Here’s an easy way to do it. You can use a grinder to do it also.

Re: Driveshaft CRACK
Been there, done that. New shafts are hard to come by at the moment. I think I bought the last one any supplier had back in February and found another from a forum member. Texas T says that have a batch in the works though!

Re: Driveshaft CRACK
The bearing sleeve and it harden witch makes it more brittle

Re: Driveshaft CRACK
After you remove the cracked drive shaft sleeve and if the driveshaft itself isn’t cracked it would be a good time to use the repo pinion bearing set up.
It’s a definite improvement to use to upgrade the drive line. And it’s easier to use and install than the original drive shaft sleeve. MHO of course!
And it can’t be seen which is good for the folks who want to have an original looking car!
This is one of the newer improved T parts that really is a great improvement.
Chaffins has them listed in their catalog.
