universal joint noise
Just yesterday I noticed a tapping sound that goes with the drive shaft. I removed the floor boards and drove with a passenger and he said it feels like it coming from the u-joint area. Any ideas what else it could be? Thanks in advance.

Re: universal joint noise
Perhaps the "u-joint pin" is coming from together !

Re: universal joint noise
I use an old fan arm bolt with a dimple drilled into the end - pein one end of the pin, insert pin, thread fan arm bolt (same thread) into the peined end plug hole until you feel it snug up against the pin then pein the opposite end of the pin.

Re: universal joint noise
The only thing i could add is to support the bolt to prevent damaging the DS tube threaded holes.
You can do the job in car. Support the bolt head with a jack or jack stand.

Found a 1/2-20 bolt. Great idea!
